Kalon-Hakan is a young man originally from the planet Lorrd, who has spent the past years of his life traveling throughout the Outer Rim as a sentientologist and xenobiologist. Son to a professor at the Lorrd Academy for Aquatic Studies and a wealthy merchant’s daughter, Kalo, as he is commonly know to his family and close friends, has had a very privileged upbringing. Yet having been on his own for the last few years, both as a scholar and a traveler, in different worlds has toughened Kalo and made him a confident adventurer, until recently. While stationed on Endor as part of a study mission from the University of Sanbra, Kalo has been plagued by nightmares and has woken up to find the objects in his living quarters have been moved as if by unseen hands. In an attempt to figure out the recent and drastic changes he was experiencing, Kalo sought help from the local shaman who directed him to seek answers with the Jedi.

Kalon-Hakan is a striking young man- tall, broad shouldered, and handsome with a smile that comes easily. At an
Kolan-Hakan still retains his athletic physique from his younger years and stays in shape by continuing to practice his swimming skills.
imposing 6 feet and 3 inches Kalo is still not the tallest member in his family. Kalo has light blue eyes and light brown hair, which he keeps cropped short to the head. Early in his travels, Kalo learned that short hair did best when moving in the wild. As a young man, Kalo had practice many sports back in Lorrd and continued to look the part of an athlete even after years from practicing. Having had access to the Lorrd Academy for Aquatic Studies, his brothers and he spent a lot of time in the water making Kalo an excellent swimmer which explained his broad shoulders, well defined arms and sculpted legs. To his chagrin some of his colleagues in school and during his first years at the university would make fun of his soft-spoken nature and his baritone voice, but eventually he would grow to appreciate the musical aptitudes these enabled. While not unaware of his own physical attractiveness, Kalo prefers to wear dark hooded shirts and long cloaks in public as to prevent anyone from reading his intentions. Whenever he is with family or in the field, he is most likely found wearing light colored shirts, light or brown breeches and his traveling calf-high boots, with a favorite dark leather jacket and leather rucksack close at hand.
Personality[]
Kalo is a reserved young man, who is more likely to be found reading from a book or a datapad than engaging a crowd in conversation. However, once he opens up to someone he can be less quiet and downright comical at times. He is easy to smile, and easier to make laugh, traits which have endeared him with different cultures on different planets, with the exception perhaps being Corellia- planet whose society and culture he is not particularly fond of. Having spent so much time observing and studying different organisms and cultures, Kalo has develop considerable patience for someone his age, as well as having a keen understanding for the different dynamics within one group or another. Being a Lorrdian Kalo knows Kinetic communication, which enables him to understand physical language and decipher the emotional state or intentions of individuals based solely on their demeanor and movement. Kinetic communication also allows Lorrdians the ability to be great mimics, which has made Kalo’s sentientologist efforts very successful, not only in learning their tongues but also in being able to portray their mannerisms.

3 BBY – Philo-Aron Zerah, Kalo’s second oldest brother is born in Qatamer, Lorrd.
2 BBY – Kalon-Hakan and Isa-Huya Zerah are born in Lorrd City, Lorrd.
0 BBY – Leda-Anya Zerah is born in Aldera, Alderaan.
15 ABY – Kalo finishes basic schooling in Lorrd and goes to further his studies at the University of Coruscant.
18 ABY – Kalo receives degree from Coruscant and returns to Lorrd to continue studies at the University of Pangalactic Cultural Studies.
19 ABY – Kalo is accepted to the University of Sanbra, and goes there to advance his studies in sentientology.
20 ABY – Kalo is selected as part of a 3 year study mission on the planet Endor.
22 ABY – As Kalo’s research team reaches the study’s conclusion, nightmares and paranormal occurances push him to leave Endor in order to search for the Jedi in Yavin 8.

Background[]
Kalon-Hakan Zerah and his twin brother, Isa-Huya, were born in Lorrd City on the planet Lorrd in the year 2 BBY. Shortly after Kalo’s birth, his father an assistant professor, at the time, at the Lorrd Academy of Aquatic studies was offered a 2 year position at the University of Alderaan and having accepted move the family there. His sister Leda-Anya was born there at the end of Kalo’s father’s term as a professor, and having accepted a tenured position back in Lorrd, Kalo’s family left Alderaan. Shortly after the move, Alderaan was destroyed by the Galactic Empire. Kalo and his family stayed in Lorrd City throughout the remainder of Kalo’s childhood and teenage years.
Academic Life[]
Once Kalo concluded his basic academic studies in Lorrd, he was accepted to study Sentientology at the University of Coruscant at the age of 18. While in Coruscant, he continued to develop his ‘stranger’ connection to his twin brother and suffered a few strange episodes of paranormal activity. At the time, Kalo considered that perhaps his behavior may have been related to the much commented and mysterious Jedi powers, but his desire to remain in school and fear of what these revelations might bring forth for his academic pursuits made Kalo forcibly push from his mind the episodes. Eventually he came to see them as almost natural occurrences, and gave them little thought as they really did not greatly hinder his studies. While in Coruscant, Kalo was able to participate in two Sentientology programs on the planet of Kashyyyk, there he began to develop an interest for Xenobiology. In 18 ABY, Kalo receives a degree from the University of Coruscant and returns to Lorrd to continue his studies. While in Lorrd, Kalo enrolls at the University of Pangalactic Cultural Studies but an increase in episodes at home, and his twin brother’s insistence for him to talk to someone about them, made Kalo want to distance himself from his family. He transfers to the University of Sanbra for advance Sentientogist studies. While at the university, Kalo is selected to become a part of a 3 year study mission on the planet Endor. While on Endor, Kalo’s episodes wean off for a few years and he is able to reconnect with his family as well as become close with a tribe of Ewoks. However, close to the end of the mission on Endor, Kalo’s nightmares return and the episodes worsen. One night while he was being hosted by the Ewoks, as he slept and dreamt objects around the campsite began levitating and moving in the air. As Kalo’s dream worse, the movements became more erratic and violent, and the Ewoks’ panic woke him up. Having witnessed the event the shaman for the tribe, Genai, performs a ritual to try and exorcise the evil spirits from the boy the tribe had come to accept and like, but during the ritual he is given a vision and presents Kalo with at drawing on a leather parchment. Kalo recognizes the image as the symbol for the Jedi and before the study mission is completed, he resigns his position and leaves Endor for Yavin VIII in search of answers.
