History

There were two places to roleplay early on in the history of the boards; CoruscantCity.net and SWfans.net. The Jedi and Sith groups from each board did not interact with each other. After much discussion regarding the matter, it was decided to merge the two separate roleplaying communities together and SWfans was designated the place for all roleplay to occur. Many of the first Members of The Sith Empire came from SWfans.

Roleplay then was very similar to now with the primary struggle being between the Jedi and Sith. The major battles for combat were the same with one rule only.. no killing someone without their permission. Roleplaying guidelines, varied character classes as well as fleet battles have since been developed over time.

A Jedi's rank was first determined by the number of times they saw The Phantom Menace and the Sith used the total number of posts to determine rank, with 1000 posts designating you as a Master level. Soon after, a progression of ranks was established: Apprentice, Lord and Master. The levels have been further refined to the present system used by TSE now: Disciple, Warrior, Knight, Lord and Master. The Sith Empire has been around the longest of any Sith group on the boards. The Sith Empire branched away from the SWFans universe and established their own roleplay galaxy at StarWarsRPG.net.
