Biography[]
Bane Shosten is twenty-one years old, born on Alderaan. He was on Coruscant with his uncle when the Death Star destroyed Alderaan (he was six years old), and his uncle cared for him for five years. When he was eleven, he was put into Stars' End for stealing and attacking a man. While in Stars' End, Bane learned Teras Kasi, and after four years, he escaped with a friend, Eko, managing to make it back to Coruscant. His uncle long gone, Bane was forced to live in the undercity of Coruscant, living off of handouts and the few credits that he was able to earn here and there, working as a ship cleaner on the docks. He lived there for about threeyears. When he had finally got enough money to get off of Coruscant, Bane took a ship to Corellia, where he hoped to find work on the docks. He managed to get a job once again as a ship cleaner, but again without a home and without food. Walking the streets of Coronet, a man took him in by the name of Cedric. Cedric gave him a safe place to sleep, food, and above all, he truly cared about him. They talked, and Cedric told him stories about the Jedi. Through insistent pushing and prodding, Cedric convinced Bane to go to Yavin VIII, even though he didn't really want to go.
It's been further revealed that Bane and Cedric developed a relationship beyond friends; they dated during the year that Bane stayed with him on Corellia. It's been revealed additionally that Bane is gay and that he was sexually abused as a teen both in the Undercity and in Stars' End. He sold himelf out to prostitution in the Undercity.
On numerous occasions, Bane has been tempted to join the Dark Side: namely by Sodan and Kussar, both Sith.
He additionally has lost his left arm while in a brawl with Sith Raien Keth and Sith Eko (the very same Eko that he was friends with).
After a strange spar with Terra Drakontas, Bane ultimately decided that a combination of the Light and the people of Yavin were destroying him and the only salvation he could find would be the Darkness. Leaving Yavin and going to Coruscant, he met a Dark Jedi, one whom he had met on a previous journey to Corino, named Alen Na'Varro. Alen brought him to Ruusan, where he was eventually accepted to be one of the Penumbra.

Bane's immediate family is dead - he lived with his uncle (but has no idea where he is now). His closest family would be Cedric.
