Background[]
Aleane grew up on Coruscant with her older brother Evan. Their mother died when Aleane was only 7 and their father wasnt around often causing the two to grow up on their own. Whenever their father would return to Coruscant he would tell the children about his adventures in the galaxy and even teach them things that he learned in his travels. Through this and growing up on the streets of Coruscant, Aleana and her brother became well versed in hand-to-hand combat of different styles. Her favorite being the Echani Martial Arts style. She knocked out her first opponent at the age of 12 and killed a man that tried to assault her at the age of 17. No charges were placed because it was considered an act of self-defense.
She was close to her brother Evan up until this point. Aleane had begun to enjoy the thrill of living in the streets, going from place to place, living from paycheck, to paycheck. It was a challenge for her, something that she hadnt encountered much of in her childhood and adolescence because of her natural affinity for the martial arts and sneaking around. She eventually left Coruscant and her older brother behind to travel the galaxy like her father before her, keeping in touch with Evan once ever month telling him of her adventures. Aleane learned many things while she was off world, like how to gather information, how to disappear when she didnt want to be seen, and even how to fight with a sword and staff.
While Aleane was off touring the galaxy she met and fell in love with Alejandro Ortis. The two eloped on Cloud City two months after they met. They newly-weds fought often, Aleane wasnt used to being tied down to one spot and Alejandro wanted her to stay on Bespin and settle down with him. Realizing that she wouldnt be able to do as her husband had requested, she gathered her things and left, divorcing him after only 8 months of marriage.
Eventually she returned to Coruscant only to learn that her brother, with whom she had eventually lost contact with, had moved to Telos IV and joined the New Republic's cause. She was happy for his brother and upon his promotion from an intern had given him a silver watch with the money that she had earned doing various odd jobs around the galaxy as a freelance mercenary.
Aleane stayed in Coruscant, occasionally travelling to other systems to visit old contacts or perform certain jobs. She was last seen in Mos Eisley on Tatooine.
Personality[]
Aleane's personality is almost completely opposite from that of her brothers. Though they are similar in the way that she is always satisfied in a job well done. She loves the thrill of jumping around from planet to planet and living from paycheck to paycheck because it gives her a challenge. She's sarcastic and has a hell of an ego about her. Losing is not an option for her Despite this however Aleane has a sense of loyalty to her brother (and therefore a small one to the New Republic, though no one really knows this) and she will not do anything if it might in turn harm him.
Family[]
Not to much is known about the Mathews family. The only common knowledge is that Evan has become an Advisor to Chief of State Daine Saria. Evan has no idea that Aleane works as a mercenary or of her marriage to Alejandro. Her father hasnt been seen since she left to travel.

Bladed Weapons[]
Aleane has been trained to use swords. She carries a katanas and two small daggers with her whenever she's on a job.
Special Weapons[]
She also is trained to use staffs of all kinds, though she is not as proficient with staffs as she is with bladed weapons. She also is proficient with shurikens and smoke pellets, making her very adept at escapes and stealth.
Hand to Hand Combat[]
Aleane is well versed in many styles of hand to hand combat ranging from Echani Martial arts to Rek'Dul.
